Mountainboard Derby - Regular Riding in the Derby Region!
Unfortunately, the majority of the
UK Mountainboarding Centres are in the west of the country and the nearest
centre to us is approximately an hour and a half drive away. Not
impossibly far, but we thought we should do something a little more locally.
It
is in direct response to this that we are attempting to provide regular
sessions in one of the Derby's local parks so that people can either give
boarding a go, or those that ride already can drop by if they just fancy
having a mid-week session.
The aim is to have someone on-site every Monday night during British Summer Time to take advantage of the longer evenings and to start a bit of regular boarding in the Derby area. From here, we can promote some of the other semi-regular events taking place in the area and nationally, promoting the competitions as run by the ATBA.
Longer term, upon becoming an established club, helps the cause for pushing for council financial support which could open up further possibilities. But in the meantime, lets just ride more!
